Amends for Affairs and other Relational Bruises By Sue Wintgens
Mar 1 - Mar 3R5500
An affair is one of a group of relational bruises that all of us meet as we work with our clients, individuals and couples. How do we guide those hurting from any relational bruise who are in their Survival Suit, back towards their essence, where their birthright ability to love and forgive can begin to emerge? This training will help you embody this journey in your own relationships as well as guiding you with individual clients and of course, couples.
Together we will pay attention to 3 important tasks:
• How the relational bond can be repaired sufficiently for the work to be done.
• How to guide couples into stepping out of the victim-perpetrator dance of their Survival Suits into the reparative experience of making amends.
• How to assist couples in envisioning a new scenario, so as to insulate their relationship for the future.
To weave these vital experiences together the therapist/guide helps couples to create the conditions in which to experience a mutual expression, of both deep regret and authentic forgiveness.
Join us as we introduce this exciting new way of guiding couples from hurting towards re-connection and healing.
The training will include an “in vivo” demonstration with a couple dealing with a relational bruise.
